Polly Ann Elmore, age 85, of Gordo, AL passed away December 6, 2020 at her daughter's residence in Lilburn, GA. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Gordo City Cemetery with Rev. Marvin McCormick and Rev. Mike Perrigin officiating and Skelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for a short visitation immediately following the service at the graveside.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verdo W. Elmore, Jr.; her brother, Jack Paine; her parents and daughter-in-law, Becky Elmore.
Survivors include her son, Jim Elmore; daughters, Cathy Dunnahoo, Dianne Elmore and Amy Elmore; six grandchildren, Amanda Lightsey (T. C.), Miranda Jones (Greg), Justin Dunnahoo (Lindsey), Tony Perrigin, Mike Perrigin (Kim) and Craig Perrigin (Heather); great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ella, Jackson, Alivia, Bubba and Katelin and sister-in-law, Aurelia Paine.
Polly was born June 1, 1935 in Grand Bay, Alabama to the late Joseph J. Paine and Beatrice Ann Shreve. She was a member of the Methodist faith and a retired Social Worker in Pensions & Security. Polly was a loving wife, mother, sister and, as her grandchildren called her, "Nanny"
