Reba Jean Shirley, age 68, of Gordo, AL passed away December 21, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Mt. Olivet "Beaver Dam" Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Poole officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Snake" Shirley; her parents and sister, Brenda Sellers.
Survivors include her daughters, Tonyia Jones (Danny) and Tracy Sanders (Jimbo); son, Daniel "Chubby" Shirley (Casey); brothers, Eugene Plowman and Scott Sullivan; five grandchildren, Chelsea Young (Jerrad), Harley Jones, Madison Shirley, Jadyn Jones and Caden Shirley and special friend, Donald Hall.
Reba was born October 29, 1953 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Howard Eugene Plowman and Helen Frances Webb Plowman. She was a homemaker and a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Donald Hall, Kenneth Hall, Eugene Plowman, Scott Sullivan, Danny Jones, Jimbo Sanders and Dwain Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers are DCH Regional Medical Center nursing staff of 6th South and Cardiac ICU, Bert Craft and Daniel Livingston.
