Richard Harris Hall, Jr., age 78, of Carrollton, AL passed away May 23, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, May 26, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with James Ivan Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Recal McCool; brother-in-law, Jay McCool and nephew, Ronnie McCool.
Survivors include brother, Randy Hall and wife, Karla of Carrollton, AL; stepson, Phillip Wilson (Diane) of South Carolina; stepdaughter, Donna Junkin (Robert) of Northport, AL; step-nephews, Joe Adkins (Mandy) and Ryan Sullivan, of Carrollton, AL; step-niece, Anna Jones (Taylor) of Carrollton, AL and special cousin, Dexter Hester (Anna) of Pickensville, AL.
Richard was born October 8, 1944 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Richard H. Hall, Sr. and Irene Hester Hall.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.  Richard made many friends from all walks of life and made an impression with everyone he met.  Richard was a man of many, many words and he knew a lot about everything. He loved his family and friends deeply.  He also loved children and loved to compliment the ladies.  Richard will be missed by many.
Pallbearers will be John Harris, Mitch Bennett, Rodney Jennings, Dexter Hester, Tommy Hubbard and Earl Gates.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dennis Taylor, Deno and Laurie Plowman and the nurses at Baptist Memorial Hospital CCU.  Special thanks to Hope and Mary and his physician, Dr. Larry Skelton.
