Charles "Richard" Plowman, Sr., age 80, of Gordo, AL passed away May 21, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, May 23, 20211 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Yancy Windham officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
He was preceded in death by his infant children, Chris and Lisa; his parents; three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include his sons, Chuck Plowman (Tammy) and David Plowman; four grandchildren, Hope Lankford (Jay), Grace Plowman, Kristen Plowman and David Plowman, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Rainey Claire Lankford; the mother of his children, Mary Plowman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was born February 8, 1941 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Samuel Grover Plowman and Hassie Morrison Plowman. He attended Corinth Baptist Church and was a retired building contractor.
