Richard Allen "Rick" Goode, age 68 of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away February 21, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Dr. Bob Crossman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Paul Crossman.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Goode, sons, Wes Goode (Molly) and Sam Goode (Kristy); stepsons, Glenn Morrison (Kelly), Jeremy Morrison (Rachael) and Shannon Morrison (Chelsea); stepdaughter, Christy Strickland (Blake); step-brothers, Rev. Dr. Bob Crossman (Marcia) and Paul Crossman, Jr. (Lewis); five grandchildren, Taylor, Gracie, Pyper, Rylan and Colin; six step-grandchildren, Gracie, Hayden, Katherine, Allysa, Emily and Hunter; nephews, Charlie and David Crossman and his cousin who was just like his brother, John Goode (Kathy).
Rick was born March 8, 1953 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Raymond Wesley Goode and Lawanda Faye Taylor Goode. He was self-employed.
Honorary Pallbearers are doctors, nurses and staff of UAB Hospital and the staff of Trinity Physical Therapy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
