REFORM | Rita Sanchez Lathon, age 66, of Reform, died January 30, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Steven Flores; grandson, Jarmar Lathon; her sister, Lucy; her brother, Daniel; her sister, Gloria; two nephews; and one niece.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Walter Lathon of Reform, Ala.; daughters, Brenda Lee Lathon (former son-in-law, Marcus), Angela Prude and Theresa Lathon; sisters, Mary Castaneda, Margaret Flores, Josie Flores, Priscilla Flores and Linda Johnson; brothers, Eddie Flores, Tim Flores, and Steve Flores; seven grandchildren, Moriah, Shamiah and Leah Hervey, James Lathon, Aaron Lathon, Amanda Lathon and Andrew Lathon; four great-grandchildren, Lamarcus Lee Currington, Justin Lee Currington, Naiana Lathon and Drew Latham; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lathon was born June 15, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to the late Alfonso Flores and Mary Sanchez Flores. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness.
