Ritta Faye Koon, age 69, of Gordo, AL passed away April 12, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 21, 2023 at Gordo City Cemetery with Bro. Woody Jones officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Phillip Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Koon; daughter, Jessica Koon Sexton and husband, Randall; son, Lance Koon and wife, Kaitlin and three grandchildren, Kierston Franklin, Cameron Sexton and Abigail Sexton.
Ritta was born December 13, 1953 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Bobby Smith and Willene Noland Smith. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and retired office manager for Gordo Gardens Apartments.
Honorary Pallbearers are Will Elmore, Ja'Mirrus Fuller, Jimmy Sullivan, Jimmy Ellis, Gordo Masonic Lodge #564 and Tony Skelton.
