Lt. Col. Robert Maurice "Bob" Barnes (Ret.), age 82, of Reform, AL died March 25, 2025 at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair in Pell City.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Fondren officiating.  Burial will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Mary Collins Bartholome; brother-in-law, Roger Clark; father and mother-in-law, G. H. and Ann Oglesby.
Survivors include his wife, Lt. Colonel Judy Diane Barnes (Ret.) of Reform; daughters, Sharon Barnes of Troy and Brook Rivera (Rudy) of Fort Collins, CO; sons, Robert Barnes, Jr. (Tammy) of Reform, Doug Barnes of Troy and Brett Simpson (April) of Birmingham; sister, Suzanne Clark and grandchildren, Naaman Rivera, Kyra Rivera, Lauren Simpson, Kelsie Rivera, Colin Simpson and others.
Bob was born May 25, 1942 in Elmira, New York. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force with 39 years of service.
