GORDO – Robert Corr Posey, age 86, of Gordo, Ala., passed away June 19, 2016, at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Gabrielle Nicole Posey; three sisters; and six brothers.Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Gladys Posey; daughters, Terri Posey, Robin Potts and Tracy Robertson (Wesley); eleven grandchildren, Robert and Rachel Potts, Taylor Posey, Kayla Windle (Bren), Rebeka Holsonback (Casey), Wes (Ciera), Jacob, John, Mary, Levi and Adam Robertson; and five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Emma Kay, Averyll, Pyper and Adalynn; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.Robert was born February 11, 1930 in the Kirk community of Pickens County, Alabama to the late Rufus and Ellie Mae Corr Posey. He was a retired logger, a veteran of the United States Army and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be Robert Potts, Wes Robertson, Jacob Robertson, Casey Holsonback and Bren Windle.Honorary Pallbearers are Babe Wilburn, David ""Bull"" Martin, Joe McAteer, employees of Jacks and friends at Reform Small Motors.
