EFORM - Robert Arvel Young, Sr., age 67, of Reform, Ala., passed away February 14, 2018 at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Owen Young.
Survivors include his son, Robert Arvel Young, Jr. (Shannon); daughters, Brittany Alina Young (Aimee) and Whitney Adina Campbell (John); stepdaughter, Brandy Lee; sister, Gwen Davidson; grandson, Trey Campbell; step-grandson, Elijah McDaniel; step-granddaughters, Kiley Hearn, Peyton Hearn, Reagan Kelly, Alisha McDaniel, Akacia Roane and Briauna Roane; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was born January 8, 1951 in Coalfire, Alabama to the late Herman ""Buck"" Young and Jessie Mae Hester Young. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a retired supervisor for Radici Spandex and a life-long resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers are Larry Davidson, Andy Speed, Tim Evans, Heath Crowe, Jeff Decorte, Chuck Crowe, Greg Weathers, Ben Grayson, Jerry Bankston, Brad Richards, Jimmy Crowe, Josh Mordecai, Tandy Young and Bob Gee.
