CARROLLTON - Rodney Byron Noland, age 48, of Carrollton, Ala., died December 22, 2018, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and after the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. N.E., Aliceville, AL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Auwlene Noland, Herbert and Annie Lee Morris; uncles, Jerry Morris, Leon Morris and Tommy Uphold.
Survivors include his daughter, Tiffani Hurley and husband, Lee; granddaughter, Melaina Hurley; parents, Rodney and Melba Noland; brother, Donny Noland and wife, Jodi; nephews, Will and Daniel Noland; aunt, Deloris Uphold; uncle, Johnny Noland and wife, Debra; a number of cousins; and Byron was known as "Pop" to a very special little boy, Cooper Jones.
Byron was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and was employed with Noland Services.
Pallbearers are Tom Uphold, Jay Uphold, Patrick Noland, Brandon Potts, Steve Lowe and Roger Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robbins and staff, Lowe Brothers Logging, employees of Noland Services, and members of Carrollton Baptist Church.
