GORDO – Roger Dale Miller, age 67, of Gordo, Ala., died March 4, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at Sand Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Warren Brown and Frank Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dean Pearson; brother-in-law, Clayton Pearson; sister, Ann Lou Rager; brother-in-law, Bob Rager; brothers, Gene Miller, Bobby Joe Miller and Ed Miller; and brother-in-law, Jerry Hicks.Survivors include his sister, Elsie "Tootsie" Hicks of Gordo, Ala; sisters-in-law, Katie, Nellie and Betty Jo; brothers, Garnett Miller (Donna) of Gordo, Ala. and of Charles Miller (Joyce) of Gordo, Ala.; 16 nieces and nephews; 33 great-nieces and nephews; and 24 great-great-nieces and nephews.Roger Dale Miller was born October 14, 1948 in Gordo, Ala. to the late Revis Lee Miller and Bessie Lou Elmore Miller. He was a retired steel worker and lifelong resident of Pickens County, Alabama.Pallbearers will be Gerald Hicks, Hayes Hicks, Dakota Jennings, Carey Miller, James Miller, Newman Hall and Don Pearson.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Mangier, customers and coffee drinkers of Gordo Feed & Seed and his favorite pet, Rosie.
