GORDO | Rolf Felix Gregory, age 76, of Gordo, died June 29, 2014, at home. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Gordo City Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Banks officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Highland Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Elmore Gregory; daughters, Dian Stewart Wilson (Dennis), Paula Gregory, Kelly Pugh, Debbie Cohen (Mario) and Dana Senn (Stacy); sons, Ronald Gregory, Barron Gregory (Jena) and Josh Gregory (Leigh Anne); sister, Carolyn Tubbs (Billy); brother, Terry Gregory (Karen); 26 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gregory was born September 18, 1937 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Richard Gregory and Willina Channell Gregory. He was a member of Buhl Baptist Church, retired in 2000 from B.F. Goodrich with 28 years of service and was a well known resident of the Gordo area.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Gregory, Tyler Gregory, Jon Stewart, Larry Wilburn, Jeff Gregory and Taylor Gregory.
Honorary pallbearers are Brooks Gregory, Jamie Strickland, Matthew Sides, Forrest Sides, Justin Stewart, Josh Stewart, Preston Gregory, Ace Gregory, Frank Elmore, Bobby Ray Wilburn, Bobby J. Wilburn, and Danny Robertson, members of Buhl Baptist Church, employees and former employees of B. F. Goodrich and friends and neighbors of the Gordo community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
