Ronald Gene Carroll, age 72, of Aliceville, AL passed away June 10, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Dogwood Chapel in Aliceville with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Cecil Carroll and Gladys Lorraine Gilliam Carroll; brother, Daniel Neil Carroll; father and mother-in-law, Leroy Gibson, Sr. and Nellie Mae Hudson Gibson; brothers-in-law, Phillip Randall Logan, Grady Gibson, Elbert Gibson and Benton McCracken and sisters-in-law, Betty Gibson and Judy Gibson Manning.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Helen Gibson Carroll; stepson, Christopher Bishop and wife, Amanda; sisters, Kay C. Henderson (Charles Wade), Glenda J. Logan, Eva J. Patrick (Mike), Sharen Richardson (Jerry), Karen Black (Ricky), Carolyn Durden (Carl) and Marilyn Park (Bill); brother, Cecil Ray Carroll (Linda); sister-in-law, Virginia McCracken; brothers-in-law, Virgil Gibson (Janice), Leroy Gibson, Jr . (Cissy) and Clyde Gibson (Jan) and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronald was born December 30, 1949 in Aliceville, Alabama. He was a 1968 graduate of Aliceville High School and a member of West End Baptist Church. Ronald retired from Piggly Wiggly after 53 years of service.
Pallbearers will be Steven Carroll, Douglas Carroll, Brad Logan, Kyle Black, Joey Richardson, Michael Gibson, Fred Lee and Stan Strawn.
Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Owens, Ernie Fason, Gene Tilley, Virgil Gibson, Leroy Gibson and Clyde Gibson.
