Ronald Earl Jones, age 74, of Ethelsville, AL passed away September 16, 2021 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Jo Jones and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Speed Jones; son, Ronald Aaron Jones (Jessica); six grandchildren, Summer Brownlee, Jordan Brownlee, Skye Brownlee, Caleb Brownlee, Hunter Gauge Jones and Avery Jo Jones and one great-granddaughter, Nora Jo Brownlee.
Ronald was born March 2, 1947 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Glenn Earl Jones and Sarah Duncan Jones. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Reform, a retired lineman for Irby Construction and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Bonner, Charles May, Jeff Oglesby, Tom Speed, Andy Speed and all the guys at Gary's Pawn Shop in Columbus, MS.
