SAPPS - On December 3, 2020, Aubrey Ronald "Ronnie" Cummings of Sapps, AL passed away at the age of 76 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. A private family graveside service will be held in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Walker officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Benjamin and Lillie Cummings; brothers, James Cummings, Olin Cummings, Richard Cummings, Ben Cummings, and Marlin Cummings and sister, Norma Richardson. Ronnie is also preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Laura Cummings.
He leaves behind a daughter, Leslie Cummings Hartley (Doug); two grandchildren, Emma and Heath Hartley; brothers, Thomas Cummings and Jerry Cummings; sisters, Margaret Golf, Mary Trapp, and Linda Blakeney and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Sapps, AL, Ronnie lived on the land on which he was born and loved the legacy of his large family and its contribution to the community. He was a loving husband, father and brother and was loved by all for his outgoing, funny, and caring spirit. Ronnie was generous with love, laughter and kindness.
