ALICEVILLE – Roy Allen Kelly, age 81, of Aliceville, Ala., died February 6, 2016, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. N.E, Aliceville, Ala., with Rev. Doug Blakney officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was held one hour prior and immediately following the service.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Barney C. Kelly, Jr., and Raymond Kelly; and sister, Carolyn Kelly Lay.Survivors include his sister, Elinor K. Blakney and husband, Coston; brother, Daniel M. Kelly; and a number of nieces and nephews.Roy Allen Kelly was born August 13, 1934 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Barney C. Kelly Sr. and Madeline Maughan Kelly. He graduated from Aliceville High School, where he marched in the band and played the tuba for five years. He attended and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri with a law degree and he was a member of II K A Fraternity. Roy practiced law at Carrollton, Ala. for over 20 years and he also served as Probate Judge for 18 years. He was a great piano player, and a gourmet chef.He was loved and will be missed by many....
