ETHELSVILLE – Ruby Jewell Harcrow Britt, age 87, of Ethelsville, Ala., died January 6, 2018, at her son's residence. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at The Leslie Britt Family Cemetery with Rev. Scott McQueen officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. There will be no formal visitation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Verrille Britt, parents, one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by three sons; four daughters; one sister, Mary Frances McDill, one brother, Bobby Harcrow (Theretha); 12 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Britt was born in Ethelsville, Alabama on May 14, 1930 to the late Earl McKinley Harcrow and Bertha Perrigin Harcrow.
She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, a retired employee of Seminole Manufacturing and Stevens Fashions.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Rd., Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
