CARROLLTON - Ruby Ann Gore Joyner, age 79, of Carrollton, Ala., died January 24, 2018. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Roy Plymon officiating. Burial will follow at the Gore Family Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Ellis Gore.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Floyd Harold Joyner of Carrollton; daughters, Sue Ann Porter (Cris) of Tuscaloosa and Janice Winters (Ronnie) of Northport; son, Owen Joyner (April) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Nathan and Anna Porter of Tuscaloosa, Will Winters of Northport, Hannah and Eli Joyner of Tuscaloosa; and other relatives.
Ann was born December 18, 1938 in McShan, Alabama to the late M. P. "Buck" Gore and Ruby Lancaster Gore. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church and retired from the Pickens County Board of Education.
