REFORM – Ruby Elizabeth Lee, age 95, of Reform, Ala., died April 15, 2016, at Pickens Co. Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE in Aliceville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy H. Lee, Sr.; daughter, Mary Ann Ellis; an infant daughter; her parents; and brothers, Richard O. Brownlee, Sr., Chester Boyd Brownlee, James Owen Brownlee, Everrett L. Brownlee, Andrew Brownlee, Jr. and Billy Brownlee, Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha E. Lee, Dorothy Lee Roberson (Roy) and Julia Nowell (Mike); sons, Percy H. Lee, Jr. (Pat), Billy Ray Lee (Jacki) and Richard Oliver Brownlee, Jr. (Gloria); seven grandchildren, Jimmy D. Nance, Malinda L. Nance, Karen M. Booth, Lori L. Orrell, Darrin L. Ellis, Amber Dee Ellis and Adam B. Lee; eight great-grandchildren, Emmett Jackson Ellis, Samuel Aubrey Ellis, John David Booth, James Michael Booth, James Landon Nance, William Augustus Orrell V, Henry Hobson Orrell and Jade Wright; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ruby was born August 22, 1920 in Ethelsville, Alabama to the late Chester Richard Brownlee, Sr. and Mary Jane White Brownlee. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Aliceville, a retired employee of Westinghouse and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Honorary pallbearers are the staffs of Pickens County Medical Center, Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and Hospice of West Alabama.
