Ruby Louise Oglesby, age 85, of Gordo, AL died September 14, 2018 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carrollton, AL with Rev. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy W. Oglesby, Jr. and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Oglesby (Candy) and Johnny Oglesby (Denise); brothers, Hayes Latham, Leon Latham, Earl Latham and Joe Latham; seven grandchildren, Justin Oglesby, Jon Oglesby (Kacie), Jessica Taylor (Jeremy), Lacey Oglesby (Raven), Dixie Oglesby Banks, Christopher Burkhalter and Corey Burkhalter (Allie); six great-grandchildren, Breanna Oglesby, Addi-Grace Oglesby, Landen Taylor, Luke
Bryan Taylor, Tucker Banks and Brooke Burkhalter and a host of nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Ruby was born December 27, 1932 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late John William Latham and Susie Mae Springfield Latham. She was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church , a retired employee of Westinghouse and a life long resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Justin Oglesby, Dale Karrh, Jeremy Taylor, Jon Oglesby, Chris Burkhalter and Billy Latham.
Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and employees of Southern Care Hospice (Camille).
