Russell Dewayne Brown, Sr., age 80, of Ethelsville, AL passed away December 19, 2022 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab in Reform. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Ethelsville Baptist Church with Bro. Redus Hall and Bro. Richard Trotter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rod Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Beatrice Fitch Brown; daughter, Michele Brown; son, Russ Brown (Tammy); sister, Tina Gilmore; grandson, Rafe Brown and step-grandson, Preston Pogue.
Mr. Brown was born August 9, 1942 in Ethelsville, Alabama to the late Hillard Brown and Annie Ruth Jaynes Brown. He was a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church and a retired manager for General Tire/Omnova in Columbus, MS. Mr. Brown also served as a Pastor.
Pallbearers will be Chris Patterson, Joey Brown, Mike Brown, Roger Brown, Charles Beasley, Charles Tilley, Bubba Fitch, Sam Kennedy and Ralph Shaw.
