ETHELSVILLE | Rev. Samuel M. Junkin, age 79, of Ethelsville, died June 25, 2014, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Reform Church of God with Rev. Mark Dean, Rev. Don Myers and Rev. Edward Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Hall Junkin; his parents; and stepson, Joey Foster.Survivors include his wife, Betty Junkin; sons, Mark Junkin (Renee) and Robbie Junkin (Jamie); stepsons, Kevin Foster and Troy Foster; stepdaughter, Tonia Montgomery; sisters, Peggy Hoover, Sue Griggs and Pearl Dykes; six grandchildren, Carleigh, Wesley, Lauren, Caleb, Coby and Parker; six step-grandchildren, Felicia, Michael, Olivia, Haden, Bailey and Sarah; and two step great-grandchildren, Rylan and Ryker.Rev. Junkin was born December 10, 1934 in Kennedy, Alabama, to the late Ben and Dovie Junkin. He was a member and former pastor of Reform Church of God. He was a retired minister who had served many churches in the area and was a well known resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be Charles Ray Boone, Ron Cates, Trey Reece, Jesse Reece, Kyle Posey, Eric Brown and Kevin Foster.Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the Reform Church of God, P.O.
