Sandra Kay Thornell, age 65, of Gordo, AL passed away November 21, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Al Henderson and Rev. Barry George officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Olen Lee and brother, Stanley Ray Lee.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Earnest Thornell; her mother, Lois Lee; two brothers, Richard Lee (Cathy) and Roger Lee (Donette); nieces and nephews, Benjamin Lee, Brandy Lee, Emily Lee, Teresa Latham, Stacy Adams and Amanda Tawbush and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Sandra was born June 15, 1958 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  She was a member of Trinity Worship Center and a retired employee of Wal-Mart.
Honorary Pallbearers are MICU 1 nurses and staff at DCH Regional Medical Center and Davita Dialysis nurses and staff.
