ELSVILLE – Sarah Frances Britt, age 75, of Ethelsville, Ala., died October 26, 2017, at home. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at Ethelsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jordan Lollar and Rev. Mel Howton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Britt, Jr.; her parents; and brothers, Thomas "Tommy" I. Holliday and James Walter "Bo" Holliday, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen M. Britt of Ethelsville, Ala.; son, Michael Allen "Mike" Britt and wife, Sonya, of Ethelsville, Ala.; sister, Bettye Donley of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Todd Acker (Torey), Mitch Britt, Matt Britt (Marianna), Tyler Taff, Cole Britt, Michael Williams and Savannah Britt; and six great-grandchildren.
Sarah was born December 12, 1941 in Lowndes County, Mississippi to the late James Walter Holliday, Sr. and Grace Brownlee Holliday Porter.
She was a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved all of her church family young and old and they all loved her even more.
Sarah was involved with Rubies for Life Women's Prison Mission, a member of Wednesday Dominos Ladies Group and a retired seamstress at Seminole Manufacturing in Columbus, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Matt Britt, Cole Britt, Michael Williams, Charles Bradshaw, Joey Brown and Frankie Bolton.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Ethelsville Baptist Church.
