Obituary

Sara F. Manning, age 88, of Reform, AL went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday afternoon,
August 5, 2018. She was at her home in the loving arms of her children. Funeral services will be 11:00 am
Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Reform First Baptist Church with Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating. Graveside
services will be at Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Wesley Burkhalter officiating and Skelton
Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Earl Manning; her parents, Lacy and Iva Keasler
and brothers, L. C. Keasler, Scott Keasler and Streeter Keasler.
Survivors include her son, Gary Manning and wife, Brenda; her daughter, Carol Woodruff and husband,
Glenn; grandchildren Shan Shirley (Ken), Conner Woodruff and step-grandson, Chad Woodruff. She was
lovingly known as Gran Gran to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lizzie Shirley, Mary Ellis
Shirley and step-great grandchildren, Addison Woodruff and Parks Woodruff. Her nieces and nephews
have always been an important part of her family life. Longtime friends, Agnes Atkins and Joyce Moore
Bouchillon were always near and dear to her.
Sara was born January 7, 1930 in the Liberty community of Pickens County, Alabama. She was a
member of Reform First Baptist Church, a dedicated employee at Westinghouse in Reform, DCH and
Northport Medical Center in Tuscaloosa County, Rankin General Hospital in Rankin, MS and Stokes
Quality Store in Reform.
Young at heart, Sara was a strong lady, a genuine caregiver and always enjoyed being with
family and friends.
The family extends special appreciation to her church family, her Hospice team and additional
caregivers, Judy, AJ, Kenya and Rosa.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Pugh, Henry Helmers, Johnny Dean, Mark Austell, Jerry Lowe and
Roger Minton.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of her Sunday School class and her Southern Natural Gas
Company family.
In remembrance, memorials may be made to Reform First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 100, Reform,
AL 35481 and Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
