Scott Pate, age 59, of Ethelsville, AL died October 28, 2024 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.  There will be a visitation only and the family will receive friends from 10 - 11 am Friday, November 1, 2024 at Ethelsville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Pate and sister-in-law, Connie Pate.
Survivors include his mother, Atlas Bradshaw Pate of Ethelsville; two sisters, Tabitha Pate and Tansy Pate, both of Ethelsville and brother, Gary Pate (Tammie) of Brandon, MS.
Mr. Pate was born July 18, 1965 in Reform, Alabama.  He was a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church.  Before he became disabled, Scott had many hobbies.  He loved nature and captured nature in beautiful photography.  He loved animals of every kind, especially horses.  He loved gardening, nearly every seed he planted would sprout.  Scott also loved flowers and would nurture them with patience.  He suffered from a rare autoimmune disease and his unselfishness, and his hope was that the doctors could learn from him and help others with the same condition.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Ethelsville Baptist Church, 230 Main Street, Ethelsville, AL 35461.
