GORDO – Sharon Banks Hardy, age 60, of Gordo, Ala., died August 20, 2017, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Banks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William B. and Evelyn Hardy; and nephew, Dustin Banks.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Hardy of Gordo, Ala.; mother, Margaret Banks Caine and stepfather, John Caine, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Terry Mydock of Hobe Sound, Fla. and Joy Alexander of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brothers, Tommy Banks and Allen Banks, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Dillon, Izzy and Tucker.
Sharon was born September 6, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a homemaker and a well-known resident of the Gordo area.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Carroll, Jimmy Harcrow, Josh Stockman, Robert Carroll, Ken McCrackin and Johnny Plowman.
Honorary pallbearers are Brody Alexander, Bradley Alexander and Timothy Banks.
