TUSCALOOSA – Shelby Skelton Wilfong, age 71, of Tuscaloosa, died January 2, 2017, at Moundville Health & Rehab. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilfong; her parents; brother, Walter E. Skelton and sister, Charlotte Skelton Wolverton; and her husband, Harold.Survivors include her sons, Kirian Wyatt and wife, Lori and Greg Wyatt and wife, Andrea; sister-in-law, Barbara Skelton; four grandchildren, Austin Wyatt, Kayla Wyatt, Courtney Boman and Caynan Persinger; and two great-grandchildren, Colton Windham and Isaiah Bowman.Shelby was born May 16, 1945 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late William Charles ""Bud"" Skelton and Ruth Helen Anderson Skelton. She was a homemaker and member of Englewood Baptist Church.Pallbearers will be Mike Skelton, Ricky Skelton, Kenneth Pritchett, Cade Pritchett, Austin Wyatt and Caynan Persinger.Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff of Moundville Health and Rehabilitation, Reliant Dialysis and Amedisys Hospice.
