Sherry Phillips, age 62, of Gordo, AL lost her battle with cancer on November 4, 2021 at her residence in Covington, Tennessee. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. K. McCrackin of Clanton, AL and Nellie Faye Sullivan McCrackin of Gordo, AL and her brother, Rickey McCrackin of Gordo, AL.
Survivors include her son, Bradley Wayne Phillips (Bobbie) of Clinton, MO; daughter, Julie Phillips Turman (Jason) of Gordo, AL; sister, Rhonda Bouldin (Steve) of Covington, TN; six grandchildren, Jake and Jason Turman, Landon and Gwen Phillips, Trenton and Hunter Hughes and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sherry was born March 19, 1959 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Sherry was a wonderful mother, loving mawmaw and aunt CeeCee to many. She loved the summertime, the beach and being in the outdoors. Working in her yard planting her flowers and cooking for her family made her the happiest, along with spending time with her grandbabies.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Chris McCrackin, Brian McCrackin, Eric Hallford, Nicholas Pounders, Trey McCrackin and her favorite cousin, Ken McCrackin.
