Steve Kelley, age 49, of Gordo, AL passed away February 19, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 25, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn McDaniel, Bro. Joey Lucas and Bro. Tim Tindle officiating. Burial will follow in Center Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Kelley; grandmother, Betty Kelley; grandfather, Raymond Shirley and aunt, Cathy Kelley.
Survivors include his wife, Shellia Kelley; daughter, Hannah Kelley; son, Logan Kelley; father, Danny Joe Kelley (Cathy); brother, Jeremy Kelley (Carson); grandfather, Hubert Kelley; grandmother, Edna Earl Shirley; stepbrother, Joe Dyer (Joanna); father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Diane Burkhalter; sisters-in-law, Dawn Barnes (Tony) and Dellinda Mathis (Jim); nephew, John Braxton Barnes and niece, Emma Barnes.
Steve was born November 24, 1972 in Columbus, Mississippi. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and an employee of the Pickens County Board of Education.
Pallbearers will be Mike Perrigin, Craig Perrigin, Chris Burkhalter, Yancy Windham, Eric Boykin, Harold Trull, David Abston and Jonathan Pate.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gordo High School Class of 1991, Pickens County Board of Education employees, his students and his many friends, Bevill State Community College and Pickens County College and Career Center.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Anna Langdon Foundation, the Libby Foundation or a charity of your choice.
