Sylvia Jean Eatman, age 75, of Aliceville, AL passed away July 10, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Sapps with Rev. David Blakney and Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Eatman, her sister and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn E. Potts (Bryan); sons, Stan Eatman (Jennifer) and Eric Eatman (Apryl); brother, Tommy Pate (Sandra); nine grandchildren, Justin Eatman (Nicole), Victoria E. Pate (Christian), Kyle Eatman, David Branham (Alison), Brooke Eatman, Katie Rebekah Patterson (Drew), Kamden Burroughs, Michael Potts (Kali) and Logan Potts and ten great-grandchildren, Mary, Lola Grace, Thomas, Brayden, Addison, Tanner, Ava, Jessa, Landon and Maddox.
Jean was born December 19, 1946 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Thomas Lester Pate and Mary Jacqueline Allen Pate. She was an employee of Carrollton High School for many years, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Potts, David Branham, Justin Eatman, Christian Pate, Logan Potts, Drew Patterson, Kyle Eatman and Kamden Burroughs.
