Teresa Koon Smith, age 66, of Gordo, AL died August 12, 2026 a her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William David “Meatball” Koon.

Survivors include her husband, Wes Smith; daughter, Amber Smith; brothers, Donald Koon (Debbie) and Ronny Koon (Charlotte) and grandson, Waylon Smith.

Teresa was born, December 20, 1959 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late James Raiford “Jamie” Koon and Betty Jean Harris Koon. She was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church and a retired pharmacy technician for Southern Family Markets.

Pallbearers will be Clint Baker, Walter Brown, Ralph Evans, Tony Greenwood, Keith Koon and Jimmy Smith.
