Teresa Marie Galloway Yates, age 63, of Gordo, AL passed away November 13, 2024 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church in Gordo with Bro. Roger Lucas and Bro. Scott Montgomery officiating.  Burial will be in Phillips Chapel Cemetery in Northport with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guin and Doris Marie Galloway and her sister-in-law Kay Galloway.
Survivors include her children, Shane Yates (Patricia) and Brandon Yates (Jessica); grandchildren Taylor Blanchard (Cody) and Wesley Decker (Ashley); 5 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ted Galloway, Randy Galloway, and Blake Galloway (Lori) and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, whom she loved dearly.
Teresa was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church, and she grew up in Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was a retired schoolteacher in the Pickens County School System.  Teresa was a long-time member of the Tunnell Sisters Gospel Quartet. She loved to minister to people through music.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Galloway, Sawyer Galloway, Jason Stephens, Gabe Stephens, Logan Stephens, Steven Koon, Alex Koon, and Stuart Koon.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church and Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Regional Paramedical Services, and the staff at UAB MCCU and Palliative Care Team.
