Thelma Ray Elmore Coward, age 87, of Gordo, Alabama died October 24, 2018 at Arbor Woods
Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Gordo First Baptist Church
with Rev. Pat Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral
Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the
church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey G. Coward; her parents; eight sisters and
four brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Tilley and husband, James of Gordo; her sister, Nellie
Faye Mills of Gordo; two grandchildren, Nikki Mullenix (Jason) and Justin Tilley (Jill) and five great-
grandchildren, Colby Gaddy, Devin Tilley, Cabel Mullenix, Camilla Jo Mullenix and Connor Tilley.
Thelma was born May 17, 1931 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late William Anderson
Elmore and Allie Civille Hood Elmore. She was a member of Gordo First Baptist Church and retired
retail sales manager.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers are employees of Southern Care Hospice.

You showed us how much you cared for her. We love each and every one of you and you will always have a special place in our hearts.
