Obituary

Thelma Junkin Sullivan, age 91, of Northport, formerly of Gordo, AL, passed away December 19, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A private service will be held at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shamus Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Sullivan; her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Drake and Melody Cantrell (Claude); brother, Clatus Junkin; sister, Mary Helen Daniel; sisters-in-law, Judy Junkin and Jeanette Junkin; four grandchildren, Shamus Drake (Danalinn), Shannon Drake Box (Jonathon "Ned"), Chelsea Cantrell and Jonathan Cody Cantrell; five great-grandchildren, Katie Belle, Atticus, Aslan, Alistair and Barry and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sullivan was born August 5, 1929 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Amon Elzy Junkin and Lula D. Elmore Junkin. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a retired lunchroom manager for Lowndes County Board of Education.
