Timothy Wade "Tim" Akin, age 63, of Gordo, AL died January 24, 2025 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.  No formal services will be held at this time.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tony Akin.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sherry Akin; daughter, Ann Nicole Jones (Alan); sons, Donny Akin and Dusty Akin; brothers, Glen Akin (Cathy), James Akin (Kellie) and Steve Akin (Phenicia); sister, Barbara Waldrop; three grandchildren, Nickolas Jones, Rylen Jones and Trinity Jones and a number of nieces and nephews.
Tim was born January 12, 1962 in Alabama to the late J. V. Akin and Una V. Sullivan Akin.  He was a member of Open Arms Fellowship Church and a retired steel worker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Devon Holt, Brent Lee, Zack Noland, A. J. Burns, Trey Burns, Jesse Madden and Callie Burns.
