Verner Earl McDaniel, age 77, of Coker, AL died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Forest Manor Health and Rehab in Northport, AL. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Fields officiating with burial following in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Stewart McDaniel, sister, Betty Jo Vaughn, and brother, Albert Ray McDaniel.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina Montgomery and husband Monty; three grandchildren, Jessica Cunningham(Travis), Makayla Montgomery, and Ty Montgomery; two great grandchildren, Liam and Silas Cunningham; three nieces; and five great nieces and nephews.
Verner was born on November 21, 1943 in Tuscaloosa County to the late Verner and Nannie Pearl Hannah McDaniel. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a retired employee of BF Goodrich.
Pallbearers will be Ty Montgomery, Travis Cunningham, Ben Eddy, Rus Karlov, Will Mize, and Brian Sanford.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 14233 Upper Columbus Rd, Coker, AL 35452.
