Vester Mae Burgess Heritage, age 87, of Ethelsville, AL passed away February 2, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in McShan, AL with Bro. Dan Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lester Owen Heritage; her parents; brothers, Graydon Burnice "G. B." Burgess and James Leburn "Dick" Burgess and his wife, Doris and her sister, Maxine Eliott White Newman.
Survivors include her sisters, Johnie Ludine McGahey of Tuscaloosa, AL and Arba Della Shelton of Liberty, AL; her special family, Wanda Aldridge and her late husband, Elmer, Natalie Gilliland and Shannon and Octavia "Tavie" Gilliland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vester was born November 26, 1932 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Robert Graydon Burgess and Nettie Mae Lindsey Burgess. She was a retired employee of McShan Lumber Company with many years of service.
Her nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
