Violet McCool, age 86 of Northport, AL passed away February 23, 2024 at  Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Monday February 26, 2024 at Center Springs Cemetery in Gordo, AL with Bro. Scott McCown officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buford McCool; son, Ricky Lane McCool; her parents; five sisters; and one brother. Survivors include her sons, Randy McCool (Frances), and Rodney McCool (Mitzi); grandchildren, Drake McCool (Rachel), Joshua McCool (Amber), Amy Wyatt (David), Chase McCool (Breana), Hunter McCool (Amanda), Maddie McCool, and thirteen great grandchildren. Violet was born August 31,1937 in Gordo, AL to the late Floyd Shirley and Pauline Byars. She attended Elmore Center United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In lieu of flowers the families suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama 3851 Loop Rd. Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
