REFORM Virgen Oglesby Guy, age 79, of Reform, died Nov. 16, 2013, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Gray and Rev. George Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be tonight, Nov. 18, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, Walter Oglesby and Saba "Felto" Oglesby.Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Audell Guy; daughter, Wanda Cowley (Archie); sons, Frankie Guy (Patricia), Joe Guy, and Terry Guy; sister, Eva Mae Hollinger; brother, James B. "Pete" Oglesby, Jr.; grandchildren, Tim Guy, Joe Guy, Jr., Kim Barrentine, and Katie Guy; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Virgen Oglesby Guy was born April 15, 1934 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James B. Oglesby and Evie Mae Wright Oglesby. She was a retired nurse assistant at Salem Nursing Home, member of Liberty Baptist Church, and a life-long resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be nephews.Honorary pallbearers are employees of Hospice of West Alabama and Pickens County Medical Center Home Health.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Camp and Lenora Holin.
