EUTAW – Virginia Ferguson Gay, age 85, of Eutaw, Ala., died February 4, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Carl Sudduth and Rev. Jack House officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE in Aliceville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Marvin "Tommy" Gay; her parents, Robert Ferguson and Jessie Hankins Ferguson; and her sister, Merlene Sullivan.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, James O. Gay, Sr., of Eutaw, Ala.; son, James O. Gay, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Lakeview, Ala.; two grandsons, James O. Gay III and Richard Neal Gay (Kerri); and four great-grandchildren, James O. Gay IV, Stormie Gay, Catherine Gay and Brennan Gay.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
