Mary Virginia Barton Williams, age 89, of Huntsville, AL and formerly of Reform, AL passed away December 26, 2024 in Huntsville.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, January 3, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Wesley Burkhalter officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Richard Barton; daughter, Janice Barton Haydu; her parents; sisters, Joan Peavy and Hazel Hudson and brother, Hayes Gore.
Survivors include her husband, Hayes Williams of Huntsville; daughters, Cheryl Parker and husband, Scot of Huntsville and Joyce Segewitz and husband, Steffen of Huntsville; son, Chris Barton and wife, Jennifer of Helena; brother, Tommy Gore and wife, Velma of Liberty; sister, Judy Hanson of Boynton Beach, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Daniel Segewitz, Matthew Parker, Keith Haydu (Kassandrine), Adam Segewitz, Lindsay Ricke (Jon), Hilary Hidy (Bobby), Andrew Segewitz (Cassie), Kristen Segewitz, Cade Barton, Cara Barton, Cali Barton, Taylor Garrett, Tyler Garrett and Audrey Garrett and five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Adalyn, Graham, Angel and Asa.
Virginia was born July 21, 1935 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Fred "Jake" Gore and Lois Williamson Gore.  She was a member of Reform First Baptist Church, a retired employee of Westinghouse with 30 years of service and a retired librarian for the Reform Public Library.
