Walter Lewis "Suds" Hannah, age 84, of Northport, AL passed away October 22, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Bro. Shawn McDaniel officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Smith Hannah; two daughters, Beverly Dyer (Alan) and Melissa Hubbard (Scotty); four grandchildren, Walt Dyer (Jonna), Hannah Golden (Kaidd), Alex Hubbard and Brooke Hubbard and four great-grandchildren, Wrhett Dyer, Whit Dyer, Easton Golden and Walker Dyer.
Walter was born January 3, 1940 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Walter M. Hannah and Arindel Pate Hannah.  He was a retired employee of Hunt Oil Company, a member of Gordo Masonic Lodge # 564 and a veteran of the United States Army Reserve serving in Desert Storm.
Honorary Pallbearers are Northport Rehab family, Crimson Village family, Heritage Health & Rehab family, Tiffany Williams, CRNP.   The family would like to thank friends and family who were a constant source of encouragement and support and the numerous sitters who provided love, patience and ongoing assistance to prolong a positive quality of life.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the Gordo Masonic Lodge #564 or to Gideons International, Pickens County Camp, P.O. Box 287, Carrollton, AL 35447.
