Walter Monroe "Pop" Criswell, age 75, of Reform, AL, died peacefully in his home surrounded by family
on September 14, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 17, 2018 at Liberty Baptist
Church with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Leona Whitley and his brothers, Jack, Roy and Bill Criswell.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Diane Shirley Criswell; his daughters, Sandy Jones (Bob) , Julie McDaniel (DeBob) and Mary Criswell (Nick); son, Greg Criswell (Katie); sister, Jewel Sutton; brother, Jerry Criswell (Molly); eight grandchildren, Casie, Cody, Tori, Sarah, Caleb, Mattie, Natalie and Laura Grace and a number of nieces and nephews.
Walter was born June 5, 1943 in McShan, Alabama to the late Calep Criswell and Mary Boothe Criswell. He was a retired employee of Sanderson Plumbing in Columbus, MS, attended Liberty Baptist Church and was a life long resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Cody McDaniel, Caleb Criswell, Jimmy Hicks, Bob Jones, Brian Criswell and Teddy Ray Prescott and Debob McDaniel.
Honorary Pallbearers are Amedisys, The Cancer Center, Dr. Dubai, Dr. Honea and Dr. Harold.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Liberty Baptist Church, 1012 County Road 28,
Reform, AL 35481.
