REFORM | Walter Edward Skelton, age 70, of Reform, died September 7, 2014, at Noland Hospital. Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Herron officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Wolverton.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Prince Skelton; sons, Mike Skelton (Vickie) and Ricky Skelton (Natalie); sister, Shelby Wolfong; and seven grandchildren, Tanner Skelton, Beth Skelton, Angel Abston, Airon Abston, Blane Skelton (Leslie), Caleb Skelton and Trinity Skelton.
Mr. Skelton was born October 31, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Charles "Bud" Skelton and Ruth Anderson Skelton. He was a member of Zion Community Baptist Church, a retired employee of Kansas City Southern Railroad and a well-known resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Blane Skelton, Tanner Skelton, Caleb Skelton, Airon Abston, Fred Lee and Billy Pritchett.
Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors and all of our camping friends that we enjoyed spending time with at the river.
