Obituary

GORDO | William Edward "Bud" Cabiness, age 85, of Gordo, died April 3, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Hill and Rev. Tommy Smothers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee Cabiness and Addie Willingham Cabiness; two sisters, Lucille Hathcock and Sara Sharbutt; and two grandchildren, Leanna Jenkins and Billy James White.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Cabiness; daughters, Kathy Hankins (Mike), Nancy Jenkins (Tommy), Ann Pigg (Daniel), Dale McGee, Anita Sullivan (Terry) and Rita Hall (Duane); son, Alan Montgomery (Teria); two sisters, Edna Nell Walker and Billie Faye Burton; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cabiness was born in Gordo, Alabama on April 13, 1929. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Gulf States Paper and was a member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Richie Wilson, Mason Bennett, Jacob Cabiness, Reggie Malone, Terry Sullivan and Christopher Montgomery.
