William Earl Hannah, age 82, of Vernon, AL passed away January 31, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Burial will follow in Ashcraft Corner Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his daughters, Doris Akin; his wife, Angie Hannah; grandson, Terry Norris; his parents; brothers, Charles Henry Hannah and James Olen Hannah and brother-in-law, Rev. Mayo Woolbright.
Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Norris (Tyson) and Amanda Howard; step-daughter, Cassie Barrentine (Wesley); brother, Thomas Hannah (Maebelle) of Gordo; six sisters, Betty Hartley (Glenn) of Columbus, MS, Linda Woolbright of Reform, Joyce Alexander (Bill) of Columbus, MS, Sybil Braun of Queensland Australia, Charlene Sutton (Bob) of Gordo and Carolyn Grace (Lewis) of Kennedy; sister-in-law, June Hannah; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
William was born September 5, 1938 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Gilbert and Pearl Baggett Hannah. He was a member of Ashcraft Corner Baptist Church and a retired employee of Marathon Equipment in Vernon.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Honnoll, Tony Hannah, Billy Latham, Marcus Honnoll, Daniel Perkins and Tyler Priess.
