FAYETTE William Glen James Sr., age 88, of Fayette, died October 3, 2013, at Salem Nursing & Rehab Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Nell Williams James; son, William Glen James Jr.; infant daughter; brother-in-law, Clarence Nicholes; and sister-in-law, Betty James.Survivors include his son, Charles Dale James of Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Glen (Carol) James; sisters, Earline Nicholes and Joyce Oglesby (Kenneth); brothers, Hayward James (Jean), Ralph James, Paul James (Jewel), and Clayton James (June); four grandchildren, William Michael James (Christa), David Glen James (Amanda), Lindsay James, and Harrison James; and four great-grandchildren, William James, Isaiah James, Grant James, and Megan James. Mr. James was born August 20, 1925, in Pickens County, Alabama, to the late William Lester James and Pearl Lee Porter James. He was a retired businessman, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a life long resident of Pickens County.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to American Cancer Society , Mid-South Division, Inc., P.O.
