William Harold "Sonny" Johnson, age 91, of Huntsville, AL and formerly of Reform passed away December 14, 2024 at Tut Fann Veterans Home in Huntsville.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Heard officiating.  Burial will be in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Zeanah Johnson; his parents and sister, Doris Johnson Langdon.
Survivors include his two sons, David H. Johnson and wife, Amy of Madison, AL and Scott Johnson (ex-wife, Sheri) of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Elaine Latham and Rose Marie Russell; two grandchildren, Lauren Johnson and Alexandrea Johnson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Sonny was born September 6, 1933 in Reform, Alabama to the late William Floyd Johnson and Leona Estelle Carpenter Johnson.  He was a member of the Baptist faith and a retired engineer for NASA where he was part of the Apollo Program.   Sonny was also a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.
